How my love for cars began

I'm going to start by saying this : Being a car enthusiast, is a life style.

Depending on your age and what kind of car guy you are, your passion will drain every minute of your free time and every penny out of your wallet.
While everyone in your entourage is telling you to stop buying parts for your car because you have no money left, you will have to make a decision : phone bill, or stainless steel exhaust.
Who needs a phone anyway, when you can have a wonderful melody at every downshift ? Right ?

This money pit of a passion, invited me in its loving arms at the age of literally -when I was born-. Ok, I'm exaggerating, but it's been a while. I've loved cars for as long as I can remember .
It all started with my Grandfather, who owned a 1988 Mercedes-Benz 300sl.

This exact one :

When he died, my grandpa' passed this beauty to my dad, I was around 8 years old at the time.
I grew up with the dream of one day owning it, driving it, taking care of it. It never really happened since we don't have it anymore...

Around the same time, my father gave me his toys from his childhood. About 120 metal car !
I was so exited, I played with these 1:36 scale model cars. Every. Day.

My passion grew from here. It was a way to shelter myself from the world when need be, it was a way to socialize, it was a way to express myself, it was a way for me to have fun.

Through out the years, I've met incredible people, seen outstanding cars, and had some of the greatest moments of my life all thanks the car community.

So to every car-guy out there, have fun and enjoy yourself. This life style is worth living.
